Basic Medical Education Course (BMEC)

Jockey Club Institute for Medical Education and Development (JCIMED) has developed the Basic Medical Education Course (BMEC) to support the strategy of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (HKAM) in promoting the further education of our medical fellows. Based on discussions held at the Strategic Planning Retreat on Education and Training 2023 and the decisions of the Faculty Development Working Group, the BMEC will serve as the primary course for faculty development at HKAM. 

We cordially invite you to put forward nominations for the upcoming BMEC starting from Feb/Mar 2025. The BMEC is fully supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and will be offered to participants free of charge. 
The course will be delivered through a combination of online and in-person sessions. The class schedule is as follows: 

•    22 February 2025 (Saturday) AM (Zoom) 
•    15 March 2025 (Saturday) Full day (onsite) 

The class size is limited to 15-24 participants. We kindly ask you to nominate 1-3 fellows (a maximum of 3, please prioritize your nominees) by 15 January 2025 (Wednesday). In the event of over-enrolment, JCIMED will have the final decision on the number of participants from each College.
