Certificate

  • A Certificate of Completion will be issued to participants after they have completed all the activities required by the course.

Dress Code

  • Dress should be casual and comfortable during the course.
  • Bringing a jacket / scarf is suggested to keep warm when necessary during the course.

The health and wellbeing of all visitors and staff members remain the top priority of the Academy, including Jockey Club Institute for Medical Education and Development (JCIMED).

  • You are required to maintain personal hygiene, especially hand hygiene and cough etiquette.

A series of precautionary measures have been introduced and reinforced at the Academy Building, following guidelines set by the Government and health authorities.

Food & Beverage Arrangement 

  • Lunch will be provided for participants attending a full-day course every day.
  • Please let us know if you have any food allergy /specific dietary habits.
  • No drinking or eating is allowed during the learning activities.

Severe Weather Arrangement

  • The Severe weather arrangement for the course is in Appendix I.

  • The course will be held at Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Jockey Club Building,
    99 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong.

Car Parking

  • On-site parking is limited and primarily reserved for persons with speaking or teaching roles in our event. The availability of parking spaces is subject to the prevailing situation on the day. If on-site parking is not available, our security personnel may advise you to use paid parking facilities in the immediate vicinity. All visitors are required to follow the instructions of our security personnel regarding parking within the building.

Confidentiality

  • All participants are expected to sign a Confidentiality and Recording Agreement, and failure to do so for any reason may affect his / her participation in the course.
  • It is mandatory for all students to join the WhatsApp group, the group is the main platform on sharing the latest information and announcement related to the course.

CME/CNE points accreditation

  • CME/ CNE points have been accredited by the Colleges and institutions.
  • CME points accreditation for Academy Fellow / Specialist
    • To complete your CME registration efficiently and securely during course days, please download the iCMECPD app BEFORE attending the course for CME registration.
  • CNE points accreditation for nurse participants
    • Participants are required to attend the whole course to receive the CNE points.

Remarks: The final accreditations will be at the discretion of individual colleges and institutions.

Consent to passing contact information to your Specialty Colleges
To enhance your simulation training skills as well as share your professional knowledge with other healthcare professionals, you, Fellows of respective Academy Specialty Colleges and specialist nurses may be invited to deliver trainings for respective specialty Colleges upon completion of the related/specific Train-the-trainer course. If you would like to opt-out of this measure, please let us know by replying email to: [email protected]

JCIMED would transfer your contact information and courses attended to Specialty Colleges for the above-mentioned purposes, upon their official request.

Appendix I: General Arrangements Under Severe Weather Conditions

The JCIMED will be closed and services will be suspended when Pre-no.8 Special Announcement, Typhoon Signal No.8 or above, and/or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued and/or in force. 

Details of the course arrangement under severe weather conditions are stated below:-

Pre-no.8 Special Announcement, Typhoon Signal No.8 or above, and/or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued and/or in force at or after 6 a.m. 

ALL sessions for the day will be cancelled.

If Pre-no.8 Special Announcement, Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is issued while the course is already in progress, the event shall be suspended immediately.

If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued while the course is already in progress, the event indoors will continue.


Note:
The participants will be contacted for possible rescheduling and/or alternative arrangements, subject to the availability and circumstances of the JCIMED. Under any circumstances, the JCIMED’s decision shall be deemed final.
